About our Pastors

Chris and Mary Meade are both ordained pastors with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. Chris and Mary have been in Christian ministry for almost 25 years.

Chris has served as lead and founding pastor of Grace Chapel for close to 17 years. He earned both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Organizational Leadership from George Fox University. He holds a second Masters degree in Christian Ministry from Northwest Nazarene University. He holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Learning with a leadership concentration from the University of Idaho.

Mary graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington, with a Bachelor's degree in Music. She has attended Boise State University where she has done graduate work in the music department.

Chris has had over 20 years of experience as a pastor, educator, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker. He has served as a consultant and a leadership coach to a wide-range of non-profit organizations, private sector individuals, and companies.

Chris is also a part-time faculty member at George Fox University. He serves as an Assistant Professor of Business and the Coordinator of Community Consulting Projects in the MBA graduate program in Boise. Chris is also a Faculty Advisor in the Semiotics and Future Studies Doctor of Ministry (DMin) program.

Chris is the author of Leadership Alive: Changing Leadership Practices in the Emerging 21st Century Culture. This newly released, one-of-a-kind book on leadership and emerging culture was grounded upon research interviews with 20 national and international Christian leaders from the East Coast to the Pacific Rim (LeadershipAlive.com).

Chris's second book, Christianity Alive: Faith. Love. Action, is a collection of 25 articles on such topics as the Christian faith, wholeness, spiritual formation, and leadership (ChristianityAlive.com).

His third book, New Testament Alive: Matthew, Mark, Luke & John will be released later this fall. This book is a daily devotional that walks you through each chapter of the four gospels and inspires you in your relationship with Jesus (NewTestamentAlive.com).

Both Chris and Mary are musicians and songwriters. Together, they have released three original worship albums: Tell the People, Packin' Up My Sorrows, and Stronger Than Life. Mary and Chris have written and published over 50 original worship songs with (WorshipAlive.com), 40 of which are listed with CCLI and or Word Music.

Chris and Mary have been married for 25 years. They love to run, read, watch old Christmas movies, and eat sushi any chance they can. Chris and Mary have three children: Luke, Megan, and Allison and a wonderful daughter-in-law, Rachel.
