About our Lead Pastors
Chris and Mary Meade are both ordained pastors with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. Chris and Mary have been in Christian ministry for almost 25 years.
Chris has served as lead and founding pastor of Grace Chapel for over 14 years. He earned both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Organizational Leadership from George Fox University. He holds a second Masters degree in Christian Ministry from Northwest Nazarene University. He holds a Ph.D. in Education with an emphasis in Organizational Learning from the University of Idaho.
Mary graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington, with a Bachelor's degree in Music. She has attended Boise State University where she has done graduate work in the music department.
Chris has had over 20 years of experience as a pastor, educator, entrepreneur and motivational speaker. He has served as a consultant and a leadership coach to a wide-range of non-profit organizations, private sector individuals, and companies. Chris is also an adjunct professor at George Fox University’s MBA and MAOL graduate programs. Chris has helped establish a new church in the Denver, Colorado area and another new church in Kuna, Idaho. Plans are being made for a third in the Nampa/Caldwell area.
Chris is the author of Leadership Alive: Changing Leadership Practices in the Emerging 21st Century Culture. This newly released, one-of-a-kind book on leadership and emerging culture was grounded upon research interviews with 20 national and international Christian leaders from the East Coast to the Pacific Rim (LeadershipAlive.com).
Both Chris and Mary are musicians and songwriters. Together, they have released three original worship albums: Tell the People, Packin' Up My Sorrows, and Stronger Than Life. Mary and Chris have written and published over 50 original worship songs with WorshipAlive.com, 40 of which are listed with CCLI.
Chris and Mary have been married for 23 years. They love to run, read, watch old Christmas movies, and eat sushi any chance they can. Chris and Mary have three children: Luke, Megan and Allie and a wonderful daughter-in-law, Rachel.
