Co-op Nursery - Babies through Pre-school Age
We strive to create an environment that is safe, loving, interactive, and relational; where a child learns beyond a shadow of a doubt that:
- God Made Me
- God Loves Me
- Jesus Wants to be My Friend Forever
This knowledge becomes a doorway for the foundation of faith that leads them to become disciples of Christ.
Strategy
Each week our objective is to use:
- A Bible story
- Worship time
- Monthly memory verse
- Craft, activity, or game
- Small group talk
- Prayer time
- Resource Parents
We also want to resource parents each week with take home materials that provide them with information on what their child learned that day, as well as an activity or discussion topic to continue learning at home. This strategy will enable children personalize one of the three key truths of our mission.
Safety and Security Measures
We value our children. Every child grows best in an environment that is physically and emotionally safe. We want our kids and parents to know that we have their family's best interest in mind.
Here is an overview of our screening process:
- Written application
- Personal interview for every volunteer
- References check
- National background check (18 and over)
- 3 month attendance rule
- Supervision of volunteers (2 person rule)
- Appropriate training from our manual in: (emergencies, accidents, evacuation, appropriate touch, safety, child check-in/check-out procedures, security, well-child policy, bathroom policy, good hygiene, diaper changing policy, lesson preparation, and parent paging procedure.) All that to say, you're kids mean the world to us and we take their safety serious.
